Was a privilege to help present the awards to the Hedon Rangers Pythons under 9’s last night. Well done boys and to Jon, here’s hoping next season is even better for you all!

Hull and Holderness Veterinary Nurses Race for Life

A team from Haven Veterinary Group are taking part in the Hull Race for Life on 13th July to raise vital funds for cancer research.

The group of ladies ranges in age from 21 to 52 with varying degrees of athletic prowess and comprises staff from both Hedon and Holderness Road practices.

The team has been organised by Senior Practice Administrator, Evie Beattie and includes  Head Nurse, Mandy Dobbs; vets, Kim Barrow and Pippa Kaplowitch,  veterinary nurses Katy Pyle and Evie’s daughter, Reegan, a Maths intervention teacher at Archbishop Sentamu School.

Of the initiative, Evie said: “Everybody knows someone who’s life has been affected by cancer in some way, so we’re proud to do our bit to help.  Our target is £100 and we’d welcome any contributions to our Just Giving page http://www.justgiving.com/haven-vets.”

The Race for Life is the latest in a series of fundraising initiatives that have raised over £2,000 for charities including Carr House Rescue Centre, Hedon Rangers U10’s football club, Alzheimer’s Society and Macmillan in the last 12 months.

Haven Veterinary Group has been treating and caring for small and large animals for over a century and its Holderness Road practice is one of only a few nurse training centres in East Yorkshire.

£260 raised for local Charities!

Boot sale 1

                                             £260 raised

£260 raised for our nominated charities with our Boot Sale on Saturday and the Easter Egg raffle that we recently held.

A huge thank you to everyone who supported our endeavours and the money raised  will be split equally between the local branch of The Alzheimer’s Society and Hedon Rangers Pythons. You may also like to know that the items left over from the sale (of which there were not that many) were donated to the Red Cross shop in Hedon, so all in all, 3 charities benefitted in the end.

Please sponsor Haven in the Race for Life

Some of the team here at Haven are running (walking) the 5k Race for Life on July 13th. If you would like to sponsor us then you can donate via our Just Giving page online or we will have collection boxes at both branches of Haven.

Even small change dropped in the box will help to make all the difference and we thank you for that.
