About Haven Veterinary Group
At Haven Veterinary Group we are proud to have been part of the community of South Holderness and East Hull for the best part of a century.
Our roots go back to Mr Dugdale, who practised between the two World Wars – we still know some elderly farmers who can remember his visits in his pony and trap!
After the last war, the practice relocated to Hedon and then opened a branch on Holderness Road in Hull. These were exciting times for veterinary surgeons with new medicines and procedures coming thick and fast. The practice was at the forefront of disease control in farm animals, especially pigs, with Mr John Oldham. Matching him in improving the care of our pet patients was Mr Bernard Swift.
The practice has grown and evolved since those early days, but the values and professionalism of our predecessors remains.
Practice Values
If our practice could be summed up in four words, they would be:
- Caring
- Professional
- Friendly
- Value (for money)
We aim to provide a service to you, which is caring to both your animals and yourself. We aim to do this in a friendly and professional way, involving you at all times. We aim to do this at a cost which provides value for your money.
