Hull and Holderness Veterinary Nurses Success in Final Exams

Two Veterinary Nurses at Haven Veterinary Group are celebrating after passing their final Veterinary Nursing OSCE’s (Objective Structured Clinical Examinations).

25 year old Clare Cone from Hull and 29 year old Katy Pyle from Hornsea studied all aspects of veterinary nursing including anaesthesia, pharmacology, anatomy, emergency care, radiology, and husbandry for many different animals at Ashkam Bryan College near York to gain the prestigious qualification.

Of the achievements, Jim Morris, Principal Vet and Practice Owner said: “Clare and Katy have worked incredibly hard to gain this qualification and we’re extremely proud of them and delighted with the contribution that they make to both the Holderness Road, Hull and Ketwell Lane, Hedon practices.”

Clare works primarily at the Hedon practice and enjoys walking the dogs and spending time with friends and family whilst Katy mainly works at the Holderness Road practice and spends her free time going to gym, listening to music and walking the dog.

In addition to Clare and Katy’s achievements, visiting student nurse, Ruth Marjason-Stamp has passed her Level 2 Paper in Veterinary nursing.

Haven Veterinary Group has been treating and caring for small and large animals for over a century and its Holderness Road practice is one of only a few nurse training centres in East Yorkshire.

Clare, Katy and Ruth will be supporting the Haven Veterinary Group team that will be participating in the Hull Race For Life on 13th July.
