Hull Veterinary Surgeon sees success

Antony BadaThe lead veterinary surgeon at the Holderness Road branch of Haven Veterinary Group is celebrating after gaining a prestigious qualification in ophthalmology.

Antony Bada was awarded the General Practitioner certificate in Ophthalmology after studying with the European School of Veterinary Postgraduate Studies (ESVPS) and can now offer a full range of diagnostic, surgical, and therapeutic treatment of eye disorders for large and small animals.

Of the achievement, Antony said: “It was a comprehensive and stimulating course that gave me a thorough understanding of the anatomy, development and physiology of the eye and covered the full spectrum of ocular diseases that I am likely to see in both the Hedon and Holderness Road practices.”

31 year old Antony graduated in Poland and joined Haven Vet Group in 2011.  He also enjoys soft tissue surgery and cardiology.

Practice owner and principal veterinary surgeon, Jim Morris said: “This is a tremendous achievement.  Antony worked very hard and the qualification is well deserved.  We’re proud to be one of only a few practices in the area that can offer this service.”

Haven Veterinary Group has been treating and caring for small and large animals for over a century and its Holderness Road practice is one of only a few nurse training centres in East Yorkshire.
